Dr Royce Johnson, M.D., FACS
(Infectious Disease)
2201 Mount Vernon Ave
Bakersfield, CA 93306
661-872-7000

Dr Johnson is the best in the business and helped to save my life when I was not expected to survive my battle with VF. I owe my life to him and would not otherwise be living today.

Robin, I took your advice and saw Dr. Royce Johnson; He does not believe all the symptoms I am having is from the VF and didn't know what to do. He suggested that maybe I go see a Neurologist and if they don't know they can refer me to someone else. I feel too much time is being wasted. The symptoms of: muscle twitching in the both legs, stinging sensations, spasms, ankle, knee, wrist, hip pain and stiffness continues. The legs at times feel as if I was dipped in a barrel of analgesic. Any other suggestions?

As I noted in one of my other posts..We are truely medical mysteries. WE know these are happening and the symptoms are real. I too have muscle twitching in my arm and get a tingling sensation from my elbow to my wrist as if It fell asleep, I have jaw pain, lower back pain, a shooting right ankle pain and a rash. I have had a bone scan and NOTHING-no arthiritis, it hasn't disseminated. I was completely healthy, worked out 3 times a week, maintained a healthy weight, had NO medical conditions EVER other than coughing up blood which was diagnosed as a bleeding ulcer which we now know wasn't. It was VF. They have associated my rash with VF but not all the pains. I have had every test under the sun and finally my Dr actually admitted I am a medical mystery. He suggested taking Naproxen on a daily basis. I am not a pill popper and only take the anti fungals and eat very healthy. They tried putting me on anti depressants because of my "condition" I laughed and said I'm not depressed I know exactly whats going on with my body and I can deal with it without anit-depressants. They think because I am losing my hair, have a rash all over, and am down to 110 at 5'11 at the age of 31 i should be severly depressed. As you can tell I am very head strong not stubborn.I bought a back brace and stocked up on Therageslic(kinda like bengay but better)I'm getting a wig, gonna have my eyebrows drawn on and will move on with my life without antidpressants. Just antifingals and healthy food and pray that my titers have gone down in before my blood test in 2 weeks or its IV infussions. I have a very supportive husband and a 4 & 6 year old to worry about. Hang in there!!! We've decided to take it one day at a time!!
