September 15th’s upcoming Valley Fever Survivor Benefit for the Vaccine and Cure has more than raffles, auctions, and fundraising opportunities to stop the scourge of the Southwest, Valley Fever (coccidioidomycosis).  It will also feature important information from the people stepping up to fight this disease.

We are honored that we will have Dr. Garry Cole from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) speaking at Valley Fever Survivor’s upcoming benefit.  Dr. Cole is one of the leading Valley Fever researchers in the world.

In his decades of research and medical accomplishments, Dr. Cole has published nearly 200 peer-reviewed medical publications about fungal morphogenesis, ultrastructure, biochemistry, molecular biology and vaccine development.  He held positions with the International Union of Microbiological Societies, the National Institutes of Health, and many other medical organizations.  Dr. Cole was also the Chairman of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical University of Ohio from 1995-2005 until becoming a Professor and a Margaret Batts Tobin Endowed Chair at the UTSA Department of Biology.  We are grateful to Dr. Cole for his outstanding work and are honored to have him attending our benefit

Early testing has shown Dr. Cole’s vaccine project to have a 100% success rate in mice.  There may be therapeutic benefits to this vaccine in patients that currently have Valley Fever, and it may ultimately be useful as a cure as well.  With the development of this vaccine, we can potentially make Valley Fever a thing of the past.

All are welcome to meet Dr. Cole and hear about his outstanding work at the Valley Fever Survivor Benefit.  All donations and all profits will go directly to Dr. Cole's vaccine project. The event will take place at:
